I enjoy anything and everything anthropomorphic. For as long as I can remember I've always been drawn to creating characters out of animals and inanimate objects and bringing life to them in my own little way. I started my art journey back in 2000 when i picked up my first set of paints and brushes. I loved painting, but when clay found it’s way into my life around the year 2012, i fell instantly head over heals with the natural and visceral, hands on approach. Clay really lends itself to that itch I have to bring something from my mind, down to my heart and through my hands to fruition. There’s just something about connecting with that energy that feels really spiritual. It’s soothing and therapeutic. One of my very favorite things is when someone looks at my art and laughs or smiles. When they “get it”, it makes all the blood, sweat and tears that goes into creating worth it.
